How we create a sense of community is integral to the success of our workshops, as some of our participants and facilitators share here:
The Crossing Borders process helps to create a diverse learning community that:
- Connects deeply in intimate small peer groups around topics that matter
- Collaboratively grows shared skills (dialogue, empathy, intercultural)
- Strengthens purposeful actions and nurtures hope
In doing so we grow a nurturing community around intersecting social issues (e.g. inclusion, race, gender, climate).
None of us can address all pressing issues and stay physically and emotionally healthy.
We need an interconnected community where we can engage actively in one area while holding each others’ back in others.
