These Virtual Dialogue Packages aim to support TED Circles to respond to these difficult times by enhancing:
- Deep Connection: through a new methodology that’s built on the practices of empathetic listening, self-reflection, and authentic sharing to support participants’ social and emotional wellbeing
- Sense of Belonging: through a dialogue process and meta design that nurture intimate social circles and then scale those into a social web that supports a diverse and interconnected global online community
- Meaningful Integration: through social interactions that model, encourage, and inspire community participation to connect diverse ideas, spark civic imagination, and initiate purposeful action
Entire systems are currently being forced to move online. The virtual space creates a duality. On one side there is incredible potential for connecting individuals to each other across national borders and cultural differences. On the other side, virtual space also has multiple challenges for creating meaningful connections and generative experiences. CBE has pioneered a new interactive, Virtual Fishbowl Dialogue methodology that models ways to enhance participants’ resilience skills, practice dialogue across difference, and nurture civic imagination.
The short video below introduces how the gap between challenges and potentials can be bridged within online interactions:

The fishbowl video example below demonstrates the depth of connection that is possible to generate within virtual sessions using this unique methodology that models meaningful interactions and supports participants to move from witnessing, to self-inquiry, and then on to sharing their own stories/insights.
